Decent hotels in London for a reasonable price.
Hello sons.

Mrs and I want to stay in London for my birthday (next week) looking for a nice hotel for a good price.

Anyone got any little jems they can recommend. Looking at about £120 for the night.

Many thanks

I do indeed, but would argue the hotel is in Tower Hill. Other hotels in the area call themselves Tower Hill.

Regardless, lovely hotel.

My point being that there is one in Tower Hill and there is also one at Tower Bridge, they are two completely different venues and often have very differing prices.

The Jade right near earls court road is pretty decent. Took my bird there for Valentine's a year ago and they put some chocolates and a bottle of fizz on the bed for us (I did request the bottle) but they didn't charge.

And the rooms sweet.

It's been a few years since I was last there, but the Hotel Russell in Russell square was the best value for money.. Nice rooms, good price, Great location. Overall a nice hotel.

Is it basically just luck of the draw then soldo?

It can be... although if you do some research (plenty of uncovered hotels sites out there) you can virtually Guarantee what you are gonna get... out of the 5 times used Hotwire this year (one for London, and 4 for my US West Coast trip) I have got what hotel I was expecting... at a lot less cost

That Grange Hotel looks a great spot, just booked it myself

Tower bridge is good, stayed there 4 times in the last 6 months. Very good value at about £115, pool sauna etc

Normally £150-200 a night there but can get some great deals on Hotwire... if you put in Westminster as the location you can virtually guarantee what hotel you will get..
